Frequently consulted by insurers on fraud detection and prevention, Ms. Brooke has handled over 500 first-party property cases for both small and large insurance companies across the country. Fraud-fighting organizations such as the IAAI, NSPII, and NICB routinely ask Ms. Brooke to present lectures to adjusters, claim managers and law enforcement officials on relevant law and policy considerations. Ms. Brooke is preferred counsel for several insurance companies throughout the United States.
After 10 years traveling the world as a military spouse, Ms. Brooke returned to Missouri where she graduated law school at the University of Missouri in 2006. Because of her work with the school’s Family Violence Clinic, Ms. Brooke continues to provide pro bono legal representation to victims of domestic violence.
Ms. Brooke has three sons who routinely challenge her investigatory skills: Tanner (24), Brendan (22) and Jace (20). Tanner is a graduate from Mizzou working in fisheries and wildlife. Brendan is a senior at Mizzou studying Engineering and Jace is a sophomore at Virginia Tech studying Biomedical Engineering. Ellen’s life-partner Tom, an engineer, is a 30 veteran of AT&T and a native of St. Louis.
